New Leadership Team Resoundingly Elected in Los Angeles

Los Angeles — Over 500 Young Democrats from across America convened in Los Angeles for their biannual convention from August 19th to 22nd.  On Saturday, August 22nd, they overwhelmingly elected Danielle Glover of Colorado and the Empower Young Democrats slate to office.

Louis Elrod, of Georgia, was elected President of the Young Democrats of America by an overwhelming margin.

“I am so humbled by the support that my team and I received for our vision for YDA,” said Louis Elrod, incoming President of the Young Democrats of America.  “I look forward to getting to work engaging our chapters at every level and equipping them with the tools they need for success.”

The full list of newly-elected officers of the Empower Young Democrats Slate are President Louis Elrod of Georgia, Executive Vice President Constantina Meis of New Jersey, First Vice President Kristina Contreras Fox of Rhode Island, Second Vice President Danielle Glover of Colorado, Third Vice President Daniel Sims of Arkansas, Secretary Quentin Wathum-Ocama of Minnesota, and Treasurer Drew Pollom of Washington.

The new officers were sworn in on Saturday evening in a ceremony presided over by Representative Brady Walkinshaw of Seattle, WA.

The Young Democrats of America is the largest youth-led political organization in America.
