As the official youth arm of the Democratic Party in Colorado, Colorado Young Democrats organizes young people to participate in the electoral process, influence the ideals of the Democratic Party and develop the skills of future leaders at the local and national level.

Our Mission is to ensure that the young people of Colorado are active in defining our state through our actions and ideals. CYD attempts to accomplish this goal through a variety of core activities, including among others:

• Recruiting new Democrats and registering them to vote.
• Training Young Democrats to be effective and successful campaign staff.
• Educating young voters on the issues that matter to them.
• Encouraging and assisting young people to run for elected office.
• Helping Young Democrats find gainful employment.
• Communicating the Democratic message to all Colorado.

Our membership-including high school and college students as well as young workers, young professionals and young families-reflects the broad diversity of our state and the Democratic Party. It is with this diversity, we hope to fulfill our mission.

The Colorado Young Democrats also organize political and social events across the state at the hottest clubs and bars featuring the states top elected officials and political figures of significance. As time draws near on the upcoming National Democratic Convention in Denver, we will continue to fulfill our goals while having fun.
