Tara Chatterjee

Tara is a project management and communications professional based in the Denver metro area. Tara moved to Colorado by way of New Jersey in 2022, where she was actively engaged with her local Democratic organization since 2016. In that time she had the opportunity to work on numerous campaigns before pivoting to a career in county government as first a legislative aide and then a public health partnership coordinator. From 2020 - 2022 Tara worked on the frontline of the Bergen County Department of Health Services’ COVID response team, where she organized and staffed COVID test and vaccine sites and built the employee contact tracing protocol. With the help of several other young professionals, Tara restarted the dormant chapter of Young Democrats of Bergen County, where she also served as President.

Since moving to Colorado, Tara has been enjoying exploring in the mountains, meeting new peers, and learning about the local political landscape. Tara knows that youth involvement is vital for the Democratic Party and that young voters need to be better represented at every level of government. She looks forward to working with Colorado Young Democrats to increase voter engagement and to elect representatives who will champion the values of compassion, equity, and sustainability.
