Chris received a B.A. from the Metropolitan State University of Denver, where they double-majored in political science and philosophy while writing an honors thesis on representative democracy legitimation crisis. They are currently writing a master’s thesis on the political economy of climate change that they hope to defend this fall.

Lindsay Alexandria Saunders - Velez

Vice Chair of Community and Personal Advocacy

Lindsay Alexandria Saunders-Velez is the Founder and Senior Executive Director of the Colorado Justice Advocacy Network, an organization that aims to provides equal access to justice to individuals involved in the juvenile and criminal justice systems, safeguard the rights and liberties of such individuals, and resolve matters in a timely and efficient manner.

Jasmin was elected in November of 2019 to the Roaring Fork Schools Board of Education, where almost 60% of students are Latino. She also serves as a Commissioner on the Parks and Recreation Committee for Glenwood Springs and as a Board Member for the Colorado Statewide Parent Coalition and 5Point Film.

Jeeva is currently pursuing research in balance control strategies for balance therapy with gesture-controlled rehabilitation robots as a mechanical engineering student at the School of Mines. She is also running her organization Privando to help solve India’s crisis of being the most dangerous country for women through education, legislation, and technology.

Tara moved to Colorado by way of New Jersey in 2022, where she was actively engaged with her local Democratic organization since 2016. In that time she worked on the frontline of the Bergen County Department of Health Services’ COVID response team, where she organized and staffed COVID test and vaccine sites and built the employee contact tracing protocol.

Vice Chair of Technology

Braeden has actively been involved organizing youth in politics and learning more about politics since 2016. Braeden is now running for State Senate in Senate District 30. As Vice Chair of Technology Braeden helps manage the teams website, data, and other digital tools.
